Sue Allemand Art Prints

For more than 15 years Sue Allemand has been designing for the painting and creative industries. Sue is widely known for her folk art, whimsical and primitive designs. She’s is a self-taught artist who likes fun, warm, simple designs that add an 'inspiration' or a 'feeling' to a room without making it look busy or cluttered. She believes she has the best job in the world! Along with letting her play with paint and supplies everyday, she gets to live a wonderfully happy life, with a flexible schedule that allows her to go "play" whenever she wants! She contributes designs on a regular basis to a number of national publications and magazines. Currently, she lives in Wisconsin with her two children, Lindsey and A.J. and her husband, Dan. Sue has been a professional designer/artist in the gift and craft industries since 1992, but the fun really began at a young age. She used to make Barbie doll furniture out of cereal boxes, stray fabric, perfume bottles, and she could make clothes out of anything she could find.

Her mother was an oil painter and her grandmother did every kind of crocheting or stitching project she could get hold of. Sue soaked up every lesson in crochet, stitchery, sewing, painting and embroidery that she could from them, even making her first complete quilt at age 14. Sue says she’s done almost everything there is to do in the art world; teaching classes; presentation in shows; to owning a shop…..to authoring 6 books.....to designing hundreds of patterns; publishing over 150 magazine articles; licensing for housewares, buttons, rubberstamps gift products, holiday decor, prints, etc. She’s now gone full circle and manufacturing her own products with her artwork.
