Joseph Augustine Art Prints

Joseph Augustine Grassia grew up in New Jersey, where he attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison. New York City was a mecca just thirty miles away, introduced to him by his Aunt Mickey, his own personal "Auntie Mame," who took him to theaters, galleries and various avant-garde offerings. These wonders inspired a "love at first experience" that still colors his work. Augustine's art encompasses a wide range of media, including printmaking and photography. His favorite styles are Oriental and Art Deco. He often creates innovate and even theatrical framing devices for his work by using patterns and other images to frame the central image.
