Carla D'aguanno Wall Art

Carla D'aguanno (Born 1964) is an American visual artist who hails from North Providence, Rhode Island. Her works are expressive representational art delivered through a variety of media. As for Carla, being an artist isn’t something that she picked later in life, but something she grew up with. She started painting at an early age and continued to do so in high school where she was even contracted by teachers to paint their children. Carla graduated from Otis/Parsons School of Design with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art, after which she started off her career as a movie poster designer. She did most of the movie posters in Los Angeles where she was being contracted by different movie advertisement companies. Carla would later return to her native home of New England where she continued with her painting, illustrating romance covers for some publishing companies in New York City such as Bantam, Harper Collins, and Doubleday.

In 1992, Carla decided to settle down in marriage. As soon as she settled in marriage, she felt a deep desire to paint the things that appeal to her heart and trigger her affection. And that's the moment she started painting on subjects such as children, Western genre, and animals. Carla has said that painting on canvas is quite a challenge when one wants to portray the true beauty of her subject. It therefore requires keenness to detail and strong personal commitment. Art Trends magazine awarded Carla the 1st Place Gallery Choice Award in 2001. She also took Second Place People's Choice Award at the 2003 "Florida Invitational." She has won several other awards and received recognition from different quarters. Her original works appear in different museums and galleries, including Colorado, Fredericksburg Art Gallery in Texas, and Saks Gallery. A number of her works are found on prints, calendars, puzzles, among others.
